GORILLA THEATRE PRESENTS BASEBALL PLAY
FOR SPRING TRAINING
March 12-22, 2009
NOBODY DON'T LIKE YOGI
By Tom Lysaght
C. David Frankel plays Yogi Berra on his return to Yankee Stadium for Old-Timers Day in 1999. Fourteen years earlier, Yankee owner George Steinbrenner had fired Berra as manager, and Yogi vowed that he would never come back as long as Steinbrenner owned the team. So why did Yogi return? As he prepares his speech for the fans in the sold-out ballpark, Yogi tries to figure out the answer to that question for himself.
C. David Frankel has appeared recently in Six Degrees Of Separation and Bach At Leipzig at the Gorilla Theatre. In addition, he was one of the guest actors in the Gorilla Theatre's production of An Oak Tree.
Steve Mountan (War of the Currents, Bach At Leipzig, An Oak Tree) directs the production.
