AT THE GORILLA THEATRE
Christmas Gremlins II, written by Gorilla Theatre co-founder and sponsor Aubrey Hampton, is the sequel to the original Christmas Gremlins that was produced at the Gorilla in 2003. Like the first Christmas Gremlins, Christmas Gremlins II delivers lots of silly family fun, a magic show, and a crazy cast of characters including Santa Claus himself. Extra fun will be provided in the form of pre-show entertainment (beginning thirty minutes before show time), and a photo opportunity with Santa Claus at the end of the evening.
In Christmas Gremlins II, our teen hero, Henry Green, turns his attention from ventriloquism to the art of conjuring and plans to perform a Christmas magic show at the local theatre. Will Henry's magic show be a success, or will Gadge the mischievous Gremlin mess up Henry's act? Will Henry get a prom date? And who is the mysterious Mr Marvel who runs the magic store?
Needless to say, there is a happy ending. And while you don't need to have seen the original play to enjoy the sequel, audience members who remember the first play will recognize several members of the original cast in this production. Scott Isert reprises his role of Gadge the mischievous Gremlin, David Baker returns as Santa, and Jessica Alexander is the long-suffering Mrs Green. Chris Jackson and Amanda Buck take over the roles of Henry and Vickie, respectively, and Bridget Bean directs.
